USING THE BID FOLLOWUP QUEUE
On the status screen of your Bid, you can quickly put the transaction into a ‘queue’ for future reference. This queue is used to help you make calls to the customer on a time table that works for them.
Once the BID is created, escape to the status screen.
Then alt “F”- Bid Follow Up
The following screen will appear
Field descriptions:
Follow Up Date- The date you want the system to add the bid reminder to the
Bid Follow Up Queue.
Follow Up By- The user ID of the person who is responsible for following
up on this bid with the customer. It will DFLT to “your user name”, but can be changed to another “user”
Acknowledged- Leave this field set to N, unless you do not want the bid to
display in the Bid Follow Up Queue.
Comment Field- Enter any comments for this bid. For example, you might
explain why the bid has not been converted to an order.

Once info is filled in, escape. This will take you back to the status screen, adjust as needed.
Following Up Bids using the Bid Follow up Queue
Open up the Bid Follow up Queue
The following screen will appear
Field Descriptions:
Branch- Enter one or more branches, or a single territory, for which
you want to follow up on bid reminders. To follow up on bid
reminders for multiple branches, enter each branch number,
separated by commas (for example, "1,2,3"). You can also
enter "ALL" to follow up on bid reminders for all branches.
User Id- Enter the user ID of the sales order writer whose bid
reminders you want to follow up on. Or, leave this field
blank to follow up on bid reminders for all users.
Cut -Off Date - Enter the last date for which to follow up on bid reminders.
After the above info is entered, the following example will appear
HOT KEYS:
View- The sales order Body displays in a “View Only mode”
Note: To switch from “view only” to “edit mode” w/o having to go back into the program, “ALT 1”
EDIT- The sales order Body displays in a “EDIT mode”
Acknowledge- The system changes the Follow Up field to “Acknowledged”. The next time you display the QUEUE, this BID will NOT display in the Queue.
NOTE: You can “FOLLOW UP” a BID more than “once”
